Greetings from VKMfanHuey!!!

Welcome to the Gingerology blog for the 1932 First National / Vitaphone film, The Tenderfoot!!!

Ginger ...

Please note the 'menu' above, which has various information regarding the film; to the right (just below the Gingerology link) there are additional links regarding the film.

Please feel free to leave a comment with any general info, links, pics, or just to say hi!

...And be sure to check out our 'main' site, Gingerology - just click on the Ginger pic to the right. There you'll find a list of ALL of Ginger Rogers' films; click on any one, and you will be directed to a 'dedicated' blog about that film (not unlike this blog).

POLL TIME!!!

...OK, y'all, time for a bit of  'interaction'...we haven't had a poll in awhile, so, here goes... the topic?
Which 'screen cap' used to this point in the GingerFilm reviews is your fave? Now, there's no such thing as a bad Ginger pic, right? But, a lot of these early films were just so far gone, quality-wise, it was nigh to impossible to get a decent cap... but, there WERE a lot of AWESOME ones so far, and these are my 'picks' to this point:
Follow The Leader

The Tenderfoot (eventual winner!!!)

42nd Street

Gold Diggers of 1933

Sitting Pretty

Flying Down to Rio

Chance at Heaven

...well, that's the lineup...pretty dang tough - as soon as I settle on one, I look at another, and say, "Hey, that's one's awesome, too!!!" This is NOT to 'toot my own horn', as far as my 'technical prowess' goes...it's just that Ginger is a pretty impossible subject to mess up!!!

Well, off to the polls with you...vote early and often... I've made it so you can vote for multiple ones, just to 'beef up' the results a bit...

KIG, y'all!!!

Thanks so much... I love your Blog so!!!!!

  2. ...thanks for the kind words, A.T.!!! These were pretty awesome...unfortunately some of the other films were 'bad picture quality', so just didn't have very good results...plus, some of those films really didn't do may 'close-ups'... a shame!

Thanks again! - and, as always...

    KIG!
